Creative professionals in the floral industry pour their energy into building beauty for others, yet often put their own financial future on the back burner. This micro-course helps florists, growers, wholesalers, and shop owners rethink success by connecting their creativity and hustle to long-term wealth through real estate ownership.
Creative professionals in the floral industry pour their energy into building beauty for others, yet often put their own financial future on the back burner. This micro-course helps florists, growers, wholesalers, and shop owners rethink success by connecting their creativity and hustle to long-term wealth through real estate ownership. With seasonal income, tight margins, and few conversations about legacy planning, financial stability can feel out of reach in our industry—yet it doesn’t have to be. Participants will learn how ownership can create equity, security, and options for the future, gain clarity on financing paths designed for self-employed professionals, and explore how intentional planning today can build a stronger, more sustainable future for both themselves and the floral community.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Explain how real estate ownership builds long-term wealth, stability, and equity compared to renting in the floral and creative industries.
Identify financing options and preparation steps that support self-employed professionals in pursuing home, rental, or commercial property ownership.
Develop a personalized vision for financial growth by outlining next steps for building a wealth team and planning for succession and legacy.
$i++ ?>Diana Culver, A.S.
For more than four decades, flowers have been at the heart of Diana Culver’s story. Born into a family of floral entrepreneurs, Diana grew up surrounded by petals, ribbons, and coolers in her parents’ San Diego flower shop, which opened in 1983. By age 13, she was managing their second location after school—learning the artistry, hustle, and heart that define the floral industry.
At just 16, Diana became a Certified Balloon Artist (CBA) through the Qualatex Balloon Network—an early sign of her drive to achieve and innovate within the profession. In her twenties, she earned her California Certified Florist (CCF) designation from the California State Floral Association. In 2009, she launched her own online floral and event design business, creating memorable arrangements for weddings and corporate clients across Southern California. Her creative flair and business acumen quickly made her a respected name among designers who merge artistry with entrepreneurship.
When Diana was diagnosed with breast cancer at 29, the physical demands of floral design—lifting buckets, processing stems, setting up events—became too much to sustain. That experience became a turning point, inspiring her to help others in the floral community find long-term financial stability. She transitioned into real estate and lending with Keller Williams Realty and Keller Home Loans, where she now empowers others to build wealth through property ownership.
Her mission is to change the perception of floristry—from a career of passion and exhaustion to one that can offer lasting wealth, freedom, and options for retirement.
Beyond business, Diana finds joy in singing opera and choral music, learning languages, traveling, gardening, hiking, and cheering for her husband, a high school football coach and teacher, alongside their three teenage daughters. She graduated from Cuyamaca College with degrees in Business/Economics and Real Estate. Her life’s work continues to bloom where creativity meets compassion—proving that floristry doesn’t end at the shop door but can flourish into a legacy of growth, stability, and empowerment.
